Type of samples, brief description

S1: Samples of rocks/minerals, sediments and permanently frozen soil (permafrost) from different habitats, i.e. without impacting the geo-ecosystem and strictly without fossils

S2: Samples of rocks and sediments from different habitats, i.e. without impacting the geo-ecosystem, with fossils

S3: Samples of ice and water (fresh and salt)

S4: Samples of biogenic soil crusts, fungi and low-growing plants (algae, mosses and lichens) both dry and preserved in fluids

S5: Agar-cultivated samples of microorganisms commonly found in the Antarctic natural environment, strictly pathogen-free

S6: Animal blood samples

S7: Samples of animal excrement, strictly pathogen-free

S8: Samples of animal tissues from non-CITES protected species (e.g. plankton, fish, etc.)
